Bible Readings for the Home Circle reads as follows on page 261:

Note:  The beast 'which had the wound by a sword, and did live.' is the Papacy.  That was a church dominating the civil power, a union of church and state, enforcing its religious dogmas by the civil power, by confiscation, imprisonment, and death.  An image to this beast would be another ecclesiastical organization clothed with civil power--another union of church and state--to enforce religion by law.

    We appeal to your reason and common sense.  Is the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists an "ecclesiastical organization"?  Is she "clothed with civil power" under present Federal and State trademark law?  Is she "another union of church and state--to enforce religion by law"?  Does this by definition qualify her to be an "image of the beast"?  Unless you are fully asleep, you must answer "YES" to all four questions.  The latest SDA trademark lawsuit should finally convince even our previous opposers on this matter.

    After witnessing the court trial of General Conference Corporation of SDA vs. Eternal Gospel Church of SDA, we are convinced that the GCC is not "finished" with her "civilized inquisition."  We must unite in our efforts to "overcome" ..."the beast and his image."  We believe an ad campaign which informs the American news readers of "the truth" about our faith will effectively make the term "SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST" a generic one in the minds of the "relevant public."  When this is accomplished, the trademark law, which now protects the GCC, will be the very law which declares victory for the "saints of the Host High." All who live by the sword must eventually die by it as well. This is the immutable law of God.

"Press together" in this final work and we shall see the long-awaited "out-pouring of the Holy Spirit" upon YAH's remnant people.  Remember: "...they overcame [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."
